Every gardener has a dream for what they imagine their garden will look like.
Join the Artist, Mary Ahern, the Centerport Garden Club and the Harborfields Public Library for an examination of the process of creating.
This is a “Behind the Scenes” view of the creative process of the Garden Designer and Professional Artist, Mary Ahern.
With degrees in Horticulture, the Fine Arts and a career in Digital Imaging Technologies, Ahern offers a unique opportunity to view the creative process through multiple mediums.
From accumulating images from her own garden, through digitally composing, then painting using
computers, Ahern will share the process of creating her dramatic large scale Art.
The presentation will include:
- Views of her Northport garden
- Compositional elements in both Garden & Art design
- Creation & Invention of her Digital Gardens
- A discussion of her Digital & Traditional Art Studios
- A Q&A session ranging from gardens to technology to Art
