The lights in one of my studios weren’t working very well lately. I thought it was the switch since I had to flip it on and off multiple times before all the bulbs would light. The electrician I’ve used before came and immediately determined that it wasn’t the switch but the ballast in the fixtures. So, he rewired them and brought six brand new LED bulbs which fit easily into the existing fixtures. He set the switch on each of the bulbs to 5000 degrees Kelvin which was a selection between daylight and incandescent lighting. The lighting in the room looks great and the problem with what seemed to be the switch is no longer a problem. It’s always great to see a person at work who knows exactly what they’re doing and does it carefully. They are artists in their own field of work.
I began this daily journal in February, 2026 as I prepared for three exhibitions. My solo exhibition, “Portraits From My Garden” at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY, on view from June 5 – September 15, 2026, and my work that was on view in the June, 2026 group show, “Raising Women’s Voices” in Chelsea, NYC.
My next solo exhibition titled “Centering in the Midst of Chaos” will be at the Ceres Gallery in Chelsea, New York City, November 3 – 28, 2026.
It will feature digital artwork, oil paintings, and a multimedia installation.
