I went plant shopping today. It’s one of my favorite things to do! This picture perfect hibiscus jumped into my cart and demanded I take her home. She knows I’ll be overwintering her in my former root cellar, former dark room, current plant room. Gardening is all about optimism and planning for the future. Meanwhile, she’ll be featured in the video I’m editing for the installation in my upcoming exhibition. You can even hear some of the birds chirping in my garden in the background. I feel calmer already.

I began this daily journal in February, 2026 as I prepared for solo and group shows in 2026 and 2027.
