I’m a member of the Techspressionists group. We are a group of people who are working in many different art forms using technology in some aspect of the work. The Salon is the worldwide organization and they meet the first Thursday of every month at 12 noon Eastern Time. The Co-Working group is a subset of the main group. We’re about 15 artists who meet once a week to talk about our work, spend a quiet hour working alone/together and then sharing what we’ve been working on. This is the most generous group of artists I’ve ever had the benefit of working with over the years. There is much sharing of information, acceptance of all forms of artwork, critiques and suggestions. I’ve had the benefit of people in the group helping me to think outside the box and greatly expand the thinking behind my work.
I’m a blend of traditional fine artist with my oil paintings and traditional mediums. Having been in the creative fields of technology since the early 1980s I also make art using a variety of hardware and software technologies. I capture content for audio tracks & videos with a variety of cameras and microphones along with gimbal stabilizers, and various scanners. I edit and create with apps like Photoshop, Procreate, Corel Painter, Topaz and more using a Wacom tablet & art stylus. This crossover from tech and luddite has been welcomed by the members of Techspressionism and I am so grateful for their input and support.
If you create art using technology in some way, check out their website and be prepared to be amazed. (FYI: I don’t work with the projection and animation that many of our members do as you see on the homepage. I work using tech in my own artwork in my own style) https://techspressionism.com/
I began this daily journal in February, 2026 as I prepared for solo and group shows in 2026 and 2027.
Check my News & Exhibitions page for additional information.
My next solo exhibition titled “Centering in the Midst of Chaos” will be at the Ceres Gallery in Chelsea, New York City, November 3 – 28, 2026.
It will feature digital artwork, oil paintings, and a multimedia installation.
