Today I picked up the curtains that I was having hemmed by the seamstress at the cleaners. I was so nervous about clipping them up on the frame of the installation to see if they were what I had planned since sewing and working with fabric isn’t my forte. However, they came out almost exactly as I’d envisioned. The flowers are what I had custom printed on the cotton fabric a short time ago. The images on the left panel are the centers of some of my digital paintings and on the right are centers of my oil paintings. I designed the layout of the images in photoshop where I also isolated the centers of the artworks by painting mattes with my art stylus on my Wacom tablet. I designed the big circle of circles for the entrance to the installation which is titled, “A Space for Centering”. This will be on view in my exhibition that opens on Election Day, November 3 of this year. The entire show is a recreation of some elements of nature that help me to stay calm in a chaotic world.
I began this daily journal in February, 2026 as I prepared for solo and group shows in 2026 and 2027.
Check my News & Exhibitions page for additional information.
My next solo exhibition titled “Centering in the Midst of Chaos” will be at the Ceres Gallery in Chelsea, New York City, November 3 – 28, 2026.
It will feature digital artwork, oil paintings, and a multimedia installation.
